Breakthrough in The Dales

After a mammoth digging effort the dig finally 'went'. The rift was pushed through to a series of six pitches, the last of which was 42m (140ft) deep. There was little horizontal development but the cave has now been pushed to a depth of around 120m (400ft) with a total of 7 pitches.
