At the begining of July there were a number of reports concerning the poor condition of the Surprise View fixed ladder. It was inspected on Saturday 12th and deemed to be in such a poor condition that it was removed from the pitch. This fixed aid will be replaced as soon as possible but in the mean time cavers visiting the system will either have to rig it (resin anchors in situ) or use the Galena Chamber route.
