Dr Jackson's Cave

Entrance of Dr Jackson's Cave

In the small valley to the west of the roadside pond, in a small limestone outcrop. The landowner has recently changed (January 2019) and so the access arrangements for Dr Jackson's Cave have changed - cavers MUST observe the following conditions:

Give the landowner advance warning of a trip by telephone on (reveal).

Park at the P8/Perryfoot car park and NOT at Tor Top Kennels car park as this would disturb the dogs.

Access to the cave is only through the gate on Rushup Lane, just north of the junction with the Sparrowpit-Castleton Road.

This site is part of the DCA SSSI Conservation Monitoring Scheme.
See the DCA website for competition details.

Passage beyond Yoga Hole sumps in wet weather, and rescue from beyond would be exceptionally difficult.
