On the south side of the Sheldon road from the A6 near Ashford, 100m from the junction. Gated, on instruction of Chatsworth Estates. Due to the condition of the workings this site is not included in the access agreement for Rookery Mine. Advance permission for access is required from Chatsworth Estates, to be requested through PDMHS who hold the key on Chatsworth's behalf. Please contact (reveal) in the first instance.

Warning

Mine contains collapsed areas, rotten timber supports etc.
