Boothlee Pipe

Entrance of Boothlee Pipe

Access

Open pipe workings (with a small amount of modified natural cave inside) high on the south side of Millers Dale above the Monsal Trail, in an obvious craggy area. Use public footpath up the slope from the west portal of the Litton Tunnel, roughly opposite Ravenstor. Some of the large collapse blocks on the floor are recent, and the unsupported roof in the main chamber entrance should be considered a high-risk feature. Do not attempt to climb in through the open holes in the back of the chamber - they are collapsed shaft caps, and are extremely unstable and dangerous.
